Community

Altair participates in numerous charitable drives throughout the year. For 2008, through the leadership and encouragement of our Community Action Team, we included the following organizations in our fundraising efforts:

Operation Kindness – no-kill animal shelter
Susan G. Komen – Race for the Cure annual marathon
Project Linus – blankets for critically ill children
Anna's Angels – foundation for Down Syndrome research
The Family Place – crisis intervention for families
Salvation Army Angel Tree – holiday gifts for children and seniors
Toys for Tots – gifts for children during the holidays
Unite for Site – prescription glasses and sunglasses
Yoplait's Save Lids to Save Lives – funding for cancer research

In addition to the listed charitable organizations, Altair employees also donate cell phones for Recycle to Eradicate Poverty, in connection with The Chiapas Project; collect gently used women's business wear for Attitudes & Attire; and send care packages to our troops throughout the year.
