Altair is committed to helping our environment, and we are aware of the impact that pollution and waste have on our communities and natural surroundings. In an effort to mitigate the consequences of environmental damage, Altair has provided support to communities affected by pollution. For example, we contributed 200 gallons of bottled drinking water to the south Dallas community of Sandbranch, whose ground water was contaminated.

The services that we provide are primarily consultative and administrative. Consequently, our use of paper is the largest direct impact that our company has on the environment. In order to reduce our paper consumption, Altair engages in a thorough paper recycling program at all of our offices. Our employees are encouraged to “think before they print” – reducing the unnecessary usage of paper. We also recycle aluminum and plastic beverage containers.

Most importantly, Altair’s web portal, STAR®, eliminates waste by providing our clients real time data electronically. The majority of reports and information that clients and transferees require can be accessed through this secure, password-protected website. As a result, Altair does not constantly produce printed documents, which would need to be shipped both domestically and internationally. Consequently, this efficient technology benefits our clients while helping to preserve the environment.
