2020 in the Rearview

2020 was a significant year for everyone that impacted personal lives and businesses globally, and the relocation industry was no exception. While Zoom became a household name and hand sanitizer became a coveted stocking stuffer, the global mobility industry sought to find ways to carry on and triumph throughout this pandemic.

As we look back on this past year at Altair Global, we are proud of all our team has accomplished despite (and in some instances because of) 2020, and if we take anything from this past year as we look toward 2021, it’s just how resilient and committed Altair Global’s team members and community are.

Here’s a look in the rearview mirror of all we have accomplished in 2020. We look forward to the journey in 2021!

Growing Our Business and Our Engagement

We’re proud to share that we signed eight global clients in 2020!

And, even during a global pandemic, Altair conducted two annual engagement surveys and was able to increase our team member engagement to a 4.30 out of 5. Of course, any increase in team members’ engagement is a win, but especially during a year like 2020!

Giving Back to Our Community

Serving our community has always been important, but the importance of being there for others was compounded in 2020 tenfold. Altairians banded together (both digitally and socially distanced in-person) to raise 704,548 meals for Move For Hunger through themed fundraisers and digital events, as well as more than 4,500 personal protective equipment (PPE) kits for Frisco ISD teachers as they began the 2020-2021 school year in a new environment.

Recognition

While conferences went virtual in 2020, there was still a lot to celebrate within the Altair Global team. Kathryn Cassidy, President and COO, received the meritorious service award from Worldwide ERC®, Rob Johnson, Senior Vice President of Client Services, was honored with the Saul Gresky Award from North Texas Relocation Professionals (NTRP) and George Powdar, Senior Vice President of Global Reporting and Compliance, was elected as chair of the Worldwide ERC® Regulatory and Compliance Forum.

Going Digital

As our team settled into work-from-home environments, the mobility discussions continued. We were honored to have several Altair Global team members take part in video sessions, including Kathryn Cassidy on the CX Leader Podcast as well as her interview on View From the Top Live with Brian Friedman, and both Mary Beth Nitz and Laura Gatins on Ben Cross’ LOVE + RELO.
