Environmental, Social and Governance

Creating a Legacy of Sustainable Culture

Altair Global is 100% committed to being a good corporate citizen and doing the right thing. We are transforming the way we work to ensure we integrate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) impacts in all strategic initiatives throughout our organization under the umbrella of our CATALYST program. The goals of our CATALYST program are to:

  • Bring awareness and inspire action in our team members
  • Minimize or greatly reduce our environmental impact where we can
  • Give back to our local communities
  • Ensure we’re all following the rules as we go

We formed an ESG Committee headed by our President and Chief Operating Officer. This committee consists of senior leaders from human resources, reporting, compliance, operations and supply chain. This committee will:

  • Determine our Net Zero Goal based on science-based targets
  • Formulate Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in accordance with the 17 SDGs from the UN Global Compact
  • Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) based on global and local standards
  • Create our annual ESG Report
  • Review and adjust targets and metrics on an ongoing basis

Additionally, we have formed individual sub-committees to specifically focus on environmental, social and governance initiatives.

Environmental

Altair began reporting on the environment in 2013. What started as awareness of our own impact became a mission. The more we learned about being accountable for what we do in the world, the more interested we became in how we influenced it. Over the last few years, the need for action from all organizations has increased.

We want to do our part and inspire our team members, supplier partners and clients to be aware of what we can do together to make the world a better place in the global mobility industry and beyond.

Our Team Member Resource Group LIFE (Lean In For the Environment) was launched in 2022. The mission and purpose of this team is to raise awareness with team members and inspire action to make positive environmental decisions. Their motto of “It’s in our nature” truly captures the spirit of purpose for this team.

Through our Environmental sub-committee, we will:

  • Gather annual data for our Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) for Scopes 1, 2 and 3
  • Develop environmental requirements for our third-party supplier partners
  • Create environmental reporting to be used as part of Altair’s annual ESG Plan

Social

One of the most important aspects of Altair Global is our culture, which includes a mindset of service to our team members and local communities. Through our culture, we seek to attract and retain diverse, talented and innovative team members.

We support inclusion and diversity through ongoing training, creating a respectful workplace using the Platinum Rule, and through the work of our Team Member Resource Groups . It is critical to our success to sustain an environment of belonging for all team members. Through the development of our ethics, labor and human rights policies and processes, we show our commitment to the fair treatment of our employees worldwide. Additionally, we use Gallup Inc.’s Culture of Inclusion, Sustainability 5 (GS5) and Wellbeing indices to guide us in our journey.

To organize company-wide charitable activities, our dedicated Altair Cares team, motivates fellow team members to get involved, facilitates company fundraisers and boosts morale by sponsoring charity-focused lunches, celebrations and contests. Team members are encouraged to volunteer time to charitable organizations without having to take time off to do so. Examples of these activities span the globe including packing food boxes at Minnie’s Food Pantry in Texas to volunteering services in Singapore for the Food from the Heart organization. Altair also holds an annual Global Day of Service, where all offices participate in a charity or acts of service to give back to their surrounding communities. Since 2012, we have partnered with Move For Hunger, a national non-profit organization, to dedicate our efforts toward reducing food waste and fighting hunger. As part of Altair Global’s commitment to experience management, our goal is to provide a meaningful journey to our customers, including providing meals to those in need simply by donating what would otherwise be discarded in the move process. Altair Global’s partnership with Move For Hunger has resulted in the collection of more than 3.2 million pounds of food equating to 2.7 million meals. Governance

We have held a Silver ESG rating since 2013 with EcoVadis, a business sustainability ratings provider, which evaluates the policies, measures and reporting published by companies in regard to environmental, labor practices and human rights, fair business practices and sustainable procurement issues. We are proud to say our overall ratings score has increased every year since we began this process with EcoVadis.

Since 2019, Altair has provided climate change reporting to CDP, a global disclosure system for environmental impacts. Additionally, we complete several annual client-specific ESG assessments and questionnaires.

Future Initiatives

Altair’s future plans include:

  • Finalizing our ESG Plan
  • Focusing on client collaboration and expanding mutual ESG goals and targets
  • Publishing our annual ESG Report
  • Joining the UN Global Compact and Science Based Targets initiatives (SBTi)
  • Focusing on supplier participation and expanding mutual sustainability goals

ESG efforts are perpetual. As Altair continues on this journey, we will continuously update and pivot as we have always done to ensure the best experience for our team members, customers, clients and suppliers.
