Altair Global and Move For Hunger Announce Partnership to Assist People in Need

PLANO, TEXAS (Dec. 1, 2016) – Altair Global is delighted to announce a new partnership with Move For Hunger, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting hunger across North America. Founded in 2009, Move For Hunger partners with relocation companies to collect food and deliver non-perishable items to food banks and pantries. To date, Move For Hunger’s network of 650 relocation companies has delivered over 7 million pounds of food.

“Most people are unaware that nearly 50 million Americans face hunger each day, but Altair Global recognized the urgent need and decided to take action,” said Adam Lowy, Executive Director and Founder of Move For Hunger. “We’re grateful that they have committed to joining our fight to end hunger.”

“Altair Global’s culture is centered on serving others and making others’ lives easier. One of our company goals is to ensure that we partner with companies who are equally passionate about giving back. We are so proud to partner with Move For Hunger. It is an incredibly generous and dedicated organization with an amazing mission – and we hope that our joint efforts will positively impact people in need across North America,” said President and Chief Operating Officer, Kathryn Cassidy.

According to Move for Hunger, 40 percent of food ends up in landfills. Millions of people are affected by hunger, and ensuring food is not wasted during the relocation process is one effective way to help those in need. In addition to joining their network of relocation professionals, individuals or organizations can also start a food drive, fundraise, advocate for hunger relief, intern, or join Move For Hunger’s race team to support the organization and fight hunger across North America.
