PLANO, TX (May 21, 2018) – Altair Global announces the promotion of George Powdar to senior vice president, global reporting and compliance. In his new role, Powdar is responsible for our reporting services group, which includes all client and internal reporting. He also plays an integral role in our global compliance practices and is a key resource to the development of global solutions to our company and clients.
Powdar joined Altair’s global headquarters and central region service center in Plano, Texas, in 2008, and he has been involved with the financial accounting aspect of the relocation industry since 1984. Most recently, he held the position of vice president, global reporting and compliance. Some of Powdar’s key contributions include the startup and opening of Altair’s office in China, the implementation of a very large client’s reporting, financial, and compliance functions, SOCII and most recently, our GDPR readiness. Additionally, he has taken on information security responsibilities, as the rising complexity of doing business across the world only heightens the importance of being effective in these functions.

Building a record of progressive growth and responsibilities with the nation’s most reputable relocation management firms, Powdar’s career includes experience in areas of client accounting, internal audit, FAR, U.S. and global tax compliance, financial systems, cost projections/accruals, client reporting, financial product development, and client implementations. He also brings a wealth of experience in the development of global financial infrastructure and processes. He holds a bachelor of arts in accounting from Benjamin Franklin University in Washington, DC.
