Altair Global is excited to announce that Laura Gatins has taken on a new, expanded role in the company as Senior Vice President of Team Member Experience.

Laura has served the relocation industry since 1998, and her journey at Altair has been nothing short of extraordinary since her start at the company’s headquarters in Frisco, TX in 2010 as Vice President of Global Operations. Promotions and transitions led her to her previous role as Senior Vice President of Operational Excellence, where she led our learning and development, project management office, system support, and information management teams, and collaborated with all departments and business leaders in the organization.

In her new role, Laura Gatins takes the reins as the SVP of Team Member Experience. Altair is a leading experience management (XM)-focused organization, and the team member experience (TMX) is one of the four core pillars of our XM philosophy. Laura’s newest responsibilities will include leading Human Resources globally. Now, Laura brings together all departments which impact and influence the TMX into one business unit for the very first time. In this strategic role, she will provide leadership in developing and guiding all internal-facing departments. Her focus on productivity, efficiency, talent, engagement, and culture across the company aligns with Altair’s commitment to an exceptional TMX.

Laura is more than just a relocation professional; she is a dynamic force in our community. A member of WERC, she holds the Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) and Global Mobility Specialist, Strategic Talent Mobility (GMS-T) designations. Her commitment extends beyond Altair and mobility’s walls to academia, where she serves as Vice Chair on the Center for Global Business Advisory Council board at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), a position she has held since August 2022, although her participation on the advisory committee at the University dates back to 2015.

The unique partnership forged with UTD showcases Laura’s commitment to growing and advancing talent mobility education. From internships to full-fledged corporate partnerships, Altair’s collaboration with UTD has thrived under Laura’s leadership. She’s been a key figure in fostering relationships, providing learning opportunities, and steering initiatives like the Joint Academe-Mobility (JAM) week.
