Benny Distinguished Service Award

Altair Global’s Benny Tan Receives Distinguished Service Award at WERC APAC 2025

We’re proud to share that Benny Tan, Senior Vice President of APAC at Altair Global, has received the WERC Distinguished Service Award, a recognition of just how our organization’s team members go above and beyond to support and shape the global mobility industry.

WERC, the global community for talent mobility, and its Member Awards Program, honors members whose efforts have elevated the mobility industry. Honorees have been recognized for creating a lasting impact on the community through dedication, service, and expertise. The Distinguished Service Award (DSA) celebrates those who have earned 25 service activity points.

Shaping Global Mobility: Benny Tan’s WERC Impact

In 2023, Benny first received the WERC Meritorious Service Award, presented to those who earned 10 service activity points, highlighting his volunteer work and contributions to the organization. Most recently, at the 2025 WERC APAC conference, Benny was honored with the WERC Distinguished Service Award, not only representing his passion for global mobility but also his dedication to creating an impact in the relocation industry.

Distinguished Service Award Blog

“Receiving my first WERC Distinguished Service Award from WERC President & CEO, Anupam Singhal, on the stage during WERC APAC 25 has been a significant milestone in my life, wrote Benny in a LinkedIn post about receiving the award.

“I want to thank Altair Global’s Kathryn Cassidy, President and COO, for supporting me throughout my volunteer journey with WERC, without which I would not be able to achieve half of what I did today. Thank you, everyone! I remain deeply humbled and grateful for all the support and help throughout all these times, and I look forward to serving the community for the rest of 2025!”

His work with the organization started nearly 17 years ago and continues, as just last year he was appointed Co-Chair for the newly established WERC APAC Regional Affiliate. Benny’s commitments that contributed toward his award include APAC speaker sessions that ranged from moderating to paneling, volunteer efforts for conferences and focus groups, and committee involvement, including being a part of the Board of Directors.

This isn’t the first time a team member at Altair has gone above and beyond in their dedication to work with WERC. Benny joins Altair Global’s Mickey Calantropio, Vice President of Client Partner Experience at Altair Global, who received the WERC Distinguished Service Award last year, showcasing their exceptional contributions to global mobility and the relocation industry as a whole.
