Altair Global Organizes Operation Better Together to Benefit Frisco ISD Teachers
FRISCO, TEXAS (September 4, 2020) – Altair Global, the only global mobility company focused on experience management, is thrilled to announce Operation Better Together, a community-based service project benefitting more than 4,500 teachers of the Frisco Independent School District (FISD).
Organized by members of Altair Global’s staff in conjunction with volunteers from CoServ and donations from numerous local businesses and individuals, Operation Better Together raised more than $70,000 in donations. Through contributions of funds and in-kind gifts, Altair put together a back-to-school kit that includes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as a mask and hand sanitizer along with various other supplies and gifts for the teachers.
“This initiative started as a passion project from one of our team members. Capitalizing on her dedication and tenacity, Altair Global picked up the torch and was able to gather donations and resources from our community of supplier partners and other local businesses. We are extremely honored to be able to provide this small token of appreciation for FISD teachers to extend our gratitude and support as this unique school year begins,” said Chad Sterling, CEO for Altair Global.
In addition to providing gifts, services and support to Operation Better Together, CoServ joined the initiative early on and helped spread the word locally garnering more resources and donations.
“Getting the recommendation from Mayor Cheney to work on a project as meaningful as this just speaks to the great relationship we have built with the city of Frisco,” said CoServ CEO and President Donnie Clary. “We are an energy company, yet our focus is always on people, so being able to show Frisco ISD teachers how much we appreciate them, alongside so many other great local companies, is awesome. Making a difference in the communities we serve is what CoServ is all about.”
Bendt Distilling Co., a local distillery that has temporarily shifted their focus from whiskey to hand sanitizer, also came onboard as a top sponsor for Operation Better Together. Bendt provided all of the hand sanitizer for the project, more than half of which they donated. Additionally, Bendt is also offering teachers/schools a 50% discount for hand sanitizer on their website.
“Like most things these days, we’re having to change and adapt to a constantly evolving reality,” said Natasha DeHart, Founder and Owner of Bendt Distilling Co. We’ll continue to think of creative ways to contribute to a solution to today’s most pressing issues and appreciate so many others who have stepped up, as well.”
In addition to Bendt Distilling Co. and CoServ, Altair Global was joined by donors from all over the community including Prime Lending, New World Van Lines, Fidelity, Hall Park, Plato’s Closet, FC Dallas, Frisco RoughRiders, Texas Legends, Ebby Halliday, Market Street, Teltech Group, Hiatus Spa + Retreat, Whole Foods, Haskell, Cane Rosso and Wahlburgers.
Operation Better Together was as much an act of kindness for FISD teachers as it was a means to demonstrate the impact of combining individual efforts to provide greater support. Donors and volunteers will deliver all 4,500 back-to-school kits to FISD schools on September 4, 2020, just after the start of in-person school attendance.
