FRISCO, TEXAS (May 1, 2020) – Altair Global, the only global mobility experience management provider in the industry, is proud to announce the election of George Powdar, senior vice president of Global Reporting and Compliance at Altair Global, as chair of the Regulatory and Compliance Forum for Worldwide ERC for the 2020 term.
In his newly appointed role, Powdar is responsible for providing input and prospective on compliance elements for matters that Worldwide ERC focuses on, such as government regulations, industry regulations, tax and law changes and their impact on relocation.
“I’m excited to have the opportunity to gain insight on global compliance in the mobility industry as a whole,” said Powdar. “Understanding what the market is doing around compliance and regulation provides perspective on where Altair Global is excelling. We are doing exactly what a lot of companies should be doing right now.”
Powdar joined Altair Global in 2008 and is responsible for Altair’s reporting services and compliance group. As the company’s appointed data protection officer, he plays an integral role in maintaining the company’s global compliance practices. In his time with Altair, Powdar has been a key resource in the opening of Altair’s office in China, implementation of financial and client functions, SOC II, GDPR and most recently, CCPA readiness. Powdar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Benjamin Franklin University in Washington, D.C.
