Taking the Guesswork Out of Talent Preferences with Altair’s New Candidate X-check
Altair Global announces the launch of the latest X-check in our experience management (XM) program, aimed at providing deep, actionable insights into candidate sentiments for our client partners.
Altair Global leads the relocation services industry as an experience management (XM) organization dedicated to creating extraordinary journeys for our clients, customers (our clients’ relocating employees), supplier partners, and our own team members.
With our experience checks, or X-checks (what we call pulse surveys), we actively monitor the journeys of each of our audiences during the moments that matter, providing an opportunity for real-time feedback that we can act upon. As Altair’s XM program matures, we continuously launch new features to provide deeper insights. The latest? A Candidate X-check, which gauges a customer’s overall sentiments regarding the candidate services received, providing valuable and actionable insight for our client partners.
Altair’s Relocation Candidate Services
Making a move or taking a new job can be all-encompassing in nature, and we at Altair take our role in the process seriously. We offer a full suite of candidate services which can vary by move type, be it domestic or international. These services could include a policy consult call with the candidate to help them understand the benefits offered, arranging a look-see trip to the destination to give the candidate a feel for where they may live and daily life, and information on local schools, recreational activities, and other leisure interests.
We also offer candidate assessment services, including in-depth interviews, an intercultural adaptability inventory candidate rating, facilitated discussions, and more to evaluate a candidate’s skills, critical traits for success in the role, factors that could affect cultural adjustment in the new host location, and more.
The Candidate X-check is released directly through Altair’s XM software, Qualtrics, at the conclusion of delivering services. It is here data is collected and analyzed to provide our client partners with insights into which benefits their candidates deem more useful, significant, and beneficial based on their circumstances. Additionally, the candidate has an opportunity to provide feedback indicating their level of satisfaction with the benefits consultation and relocation candidate services provided by Altair.
Early Discoveries through the Candidate X-check
The Candidate X-check was initially piloted in early 2023. During this time, Altair was able to provide our client partner valuable insights to share with their Talent Acquisition group. From this beta group:
- 100% of the candidates found the Altair consultation to be very or extremely valuable
- 99% of candidates were very or extremely satisfied with the timeliness of the Altair consultation
- Of those who disclosed benefits competitiveness, 89% of customers rated benefits very or extremely competitive
- When asked about the usefulness of benefits, 40% suggested all benefits would be useful
- The remaining 60% underscore that even highly regarded benefits are of no use, if not applicable to the candidate, suggesting benefit flexibility may improve overall benefit perception
Through this new feedback channel, we are gaining a deeper level of understanding into talent benefit preferences, supporting our clients’ talent management strategies with data-backed decisions for their program – no guesswork or assumptions needed.
